News Items appear on the home page in one line summary format. When you click on this line, the full news item is displayed. In order to create a news item, you have to log in to the back end (though you can edit them from the front end). To create a News Item Select Content>Article Manager>Add New Article Under Title, write the title of the News Item, then under Status select News from the drop down. The other items in the Edit article box probably won't need to be changed. Write the text of the item in the Article text box. Then complete the drop downs on the right, headed Publishing Options: you will usually only need to complete the Finishing Publishing box. The Article Options and Metadata Options will not usually need to be completed or altered.
