People who are new to the church should fill in a Welcome Card. Unless, they explicitly opt out of receiving email on the card, their email addresses need to be added to our MailChimp Everyone list, however they may already be signed up to other email groups in which case their existing entry needs to be updated. To update/add the details:
# Check whether the email address is already on the [https://us12.admin.mailchimp.com/lists/members/?id=202917#p:1-s:25-so:null MailChimp Everyone list]
# If yes:
## Click of on ''View Profile''
## Select ''Edit'' after ''Groups subscribed to''
## Select ''Weekly Update''
# If no:
## Create a [https://us12.admin.mailchimp.com/lists/members/add?id=202917 new email entry]
## Enter the first and last name and email
## Select ''Weekly Update'' and ''This person gave me permission to email them''

Everyone who is new to the church should receive a welcome email. To the send the welcome email:
# Go to the [https://us12.admin.mailchimp.com/campaigns/ Campaigns section]
# Search for ''Welcome''
# Find the last welcome come email that was sent and select ''Replicate'' [[File:Replicate-welcome-email.png]]
# Update the email address in the ''Email Addresses'' section
# Select ''Build Segment'' and then ''Next'' at the bottom of the page
# Proceed as usual
