It's a very difficult question, how to stop bullying. Bullying is a huge problem and parents need to part of and lend a hand. This isn't something which kids should deal with alone. There are bullies, you will find the bullied there are also the children in between who watch unexpected things happen to other people. People need to get together in an attempt to stop bullying and everyone needs to play operator.

Those who watch on but do nothing at all are just as guilty because the kids who do the bullying. I understand this seems harsh but the truth is these children are going to continue bullying unless someone acts to prevent it, and it starts with one person being prepared to find a solution.

Bullying is all about someone being powerful and trying to consider your power away from you, which must be stopped. We all need to carry on to their very own power. It may be far reaching, long after the bully actually disappears, because kids tend to go over and also over what the bully says to them, thus affirming put downs in their eyes.

A great way to combat this is by taking the statement and repeating the opposite straight back to yourself many times over. For instance when the bully says you are ugly, you need to say to yourself "I'm so pretty, I'm so pretty, I'm so pretty". This will help nullify the bully's unkind words.

bullying in schools

An easy trick to combat bullies to to organize a list of words in advance to say once the inevitable happens. Kids need to be prepared and should even rehearse their reactions with a parent, to that when bullying occurs, the kid is ready to respond immediately. Some fantastic words to make use of can be just one word answers for example: what? whatever... wow...

Often answers like this will render the bully speechless because they are looking to meet with hostility. Try it and find out. You don't have to use only one word answers, but when you use many words, just make sure that that which you say is not putting down in exchange. We do not need to go there, stoop right down to their level and become one of these. Our aim would be to break the cycle of bullying.

It is important to keep in mind is the fact that we do not want our bully to see a reaction from us. Try to do whatever you use deficiencies in emotion. That way the bully thinks we do not care and they are less likely to test the same thing again when they get no reaction from us.

So, parents, sit down with your child today and figure out a summary of lines that your child can confidently use whenever a bully comes their way and practice saying these to one another. Hopefully it has shown you how to stop bullying in your neighbourhood, at the school, or elsewhere you may go in everyday life.
