Cell phones, or mobile phones as it is frequently called nowadays, have significantly revolutionized the way in which people contact each other. It has empowered a lot of people and it has even made a many things possible because of its many features and capabilities. However, just like any precedent technologies, mobile devices have its very own advantages and disadvantages.
Disadvantages
The use of cell phones poses some serious threats to its users. We quite often hear people who have died or were injured in vehicular accidents because they were utilizing their mobile phones when they were driving. Bluetooth and hands-free devices have grown to be common however these don't help. Advantages
The benefits caused by mobile far outweigh its disadvantages. The wireless technology that allows cell phones to become "mobile" but always connected is probably its best advantage. Mobile phones have made the planet smaller and they've made families stay closer together through constant communication
Cell phones are also very helpful particularly in times during the emergencies. However, most Hollywood movies show mobile phones without services particularly when the protagonist is being chased by some criminals. This isn't always true since most telecommunications provider nowadays have made it a point to achieve every square inch of the country using their wireless signals.
Cell phones also provide very practical applications in the corporate world. For instance, mobile phones with email capabilities are now being employed by mobile professionals to transmit and receive online fax messages even if they're on the run. Since online fax is sent and receive via email systems, all the mobile phone user needs is wireless technology and faxing hasn't been so easy.
Cellular devices are often very sleek and incredibly slim. Its dimensions allow it to be more advantageous since it is easily held by the hand plus they can be brought anywhere and could be saved in pockets, purses and wallets. They're very handy and incredibly portable compared to their predecessors-big and bulky. Mobile phones nowadays fit our busy lifestyle. However, this sleek and slim design also makes cell phones vulnerable to theft and being lost.
