Many people are not aware that everyday books, maybe even books you've in your house today, are actually worth a lot of money! Not absolutely all books are useful, but how would the difference is known by you? As yet, there was no easy solution to tell.
I'll give you the 'inside' story on how to setup your personal business buying and attempting to sell specific used books that could earn you more today than you ever thought you could a home based job!
Because I was very small I have been an junkie, avid guide reader and lover of books. Many years before I ran across that certain books are highly valued by collectors global and that you could earn an income, also $100,000 or maybe more every year buying and trying to sell...used books! I couldn't believe it, until I discovered this 'hidden marketplace' for used books in my own local library.
I was within my local, public library one day looking for any data that I might use to produce some money. I ran across a called, "Collected Books, Helpful Information To Values."
Since I loved books I was what it was all about and curious about this book. I picked it up and started reading it.
When I read that a certain book, in my own collection, was worth almost $3,500 and I NEVER knew it, the book was almost dropped by me on a lawn!
I decided to purchase a copy with this Guide and when I got it I had my entire library of books to see if any of my other books were 'valuable.'...
I was taken by it several times, but when I was done I noticed had a Mine on my hands. I'd 22 books that were valued at $200 or maybe more, and the total value of my 'collection' was $6,275!
The frightening part was I did not really discover how valuable a number of the books in my own collection was. Well, let me suggest that another way- I did not have a 'collection' at the least I did not think these were a 'collection.' Because I loved them.. books were bought by me. I did not know they are often VALUABLE. I had NUMBER CLUE.
Over the next several months I read up to I can about used and rare books. I also picked the brains' every popular and respected book dealer within my place that I might get to talk. I tried speaking everybody else and anybody in e-commerce, but many weren't willing to quit some of their secrets... except one old-time dealer.
Perhaps he was prepared to retire, or he just wanted to help me get going in ecommerce. I actually do not know. But he told me enough to get me were only available in this business and even produce a small fortune.
That has been more than 10 years ago...
Today the marketplace for scarce and applied publications is rising every year and HUGE. The Web has made it therefore much simpler to sell and buy books. Industry is huge and many are making a small fortune in this nice "gentleman's" company.
It is also a FUN business to stay, especially if you love books! I believe it is one of the easiest businesses to begin, one of the most successful and one of the most pleasant.
