Team Albany win Tavistock Cup Last updated: 28th March 2013

Team Albany: Play-off victory Related Links: Golf365 Mailbox Latest Blogs Latest Betting Share & Socialise: Post to Facebook Digg it! Tiger Woods' winning run continued on Wednesday as he teamed up with Ian Poulter, Justin Rose and Tim Clark to claim the Tavistock Cup.

The quartet, playing under the banner of Team Albany, beat off the challenge of the Lake Nona outfit consisting of Graeme McDowell, Ross Fisher, Peter Hanson and Henrik Stenson in a play-off.

The two teams were tied on seven over par at the end of Tuesday's round and as such had to be separated at an extra hole.

Tiger Woods and Ian Poulter represented Team Albany in the play-off and Graeme McDowell and Henrik Stenson looked to do the business for Team Lake Nona.

It was Poulter who had the golden touch, sinking the winning putt to hand the men in pink the victory.

In the individual battle it was Primland's Webb Simpson who took the honours courtesy of a round of 70.

The event, which is usually a two-day affair, only used Wednesday's scores to calculate the winners after 16 of the 24 players arrived late due to the Arnorld Palmer Invitational finishing on Monday due to inclement weather.
