Nowadays with all the technology we have available-people are utilized to getting things immediately.

The trouble is-and I don't care the things they say in those fancy supplement ads-for the majority of us gaining muscle is really a slow-very slow-process.

I know is can be difficult to take-but it's what it's.

SOME GOOD NEWS

Having said the above, you can using a few simple things.

First, you may make sure that you don't miss workouts-I know a number of you might be thinking well that is obvious-but you would be amazed at the number of people use ANY excuse to skip a fitness center.

Yes, I realize that things come up-but even then-you can get a quick workout at home.

Even though you may not have some adjustable dumbbells (that we recommend) you can always perform some bodyweight squats, push-ups and perform some calf raises off of the stairs in your house.

Use fantasy for these workouts.

FOCUS ON STAYING HEALTHY

Many people neglect this facet of bodybuilding which is a shame.

Consider it this way, if you're always feeling run down as well as on the verge of catching a cold-how hard do you think you will be able to train?

Not so hard could be my guess.

Also, do not neglect good old sleep.

Switch off the tv an hour or so earlier for any week and you'll be amazed at how much better you will feel.

You will have more energy for your training-and your odds of getting sick will more-than-likely go down.

Sounds best to me.

NUTRITION DOES COUNT

This goes hand-in-hand with sleep-how hard do you consider you'll be able to coach if you're constantly missing meals-or you are always eating unhealthy foods.

Again, not very hard.

By focusing on top quality protein from whole eggs and white meat chicken together with unrefined carbohydrates from steel cut oatmeal and all sorts of kinds of fruits and vegetables-along with healthy fats from seeds and fatty fish like sardines-your body will be running good.

As an added bonus, if you take in fruits and vegetables-which contain fiber-you will be more regular.

Again, I understand this is not something most bodybuilders think about-but if you are always feeling backed up-I don't even think your training will be going too good.

CONCLUSION

I understand lots of article is common sense, but sometimes, we often forget about the basics and concentrate mainly on all of the fancy sounding supplements.

However, there's a reason why the fundamentals of coaching and nutrition continue to be around, which is simply because they have worked for years-and will continue to work.

So, for those who have gotten off course with your training and diet, I urge you to definitely give a few of these ideas a go.
