Decline in the Greyhound Racing Industry
The greyhound racing industry is in severe decline as the public start seeing the cruelty and death that is definitely an inherent part of it but which includes been kept well hidden for many years. As attendances at backrounds fall off and stadiums close down on account of financial pressures, the industry is desperately doing all it could possibly to attract new punters. They are advertising inside media and offering many temptations like free drinks and free more , even free meals. They are targeting businesses to get them to have their office parties in the night at the pets. Stag nights, hen nights, all are valid spots for them. They are also claiming they've cleaned up their act and the atrocities which have been brought into the open recently by the media are not now a part of their business.
Please don't believe any of their claims; the dogs are still suffering and dying just as they always have. How could it always be otherwise? What are they going to do with the thousands of greyhounds that reach the finish of their racing career on an annual basis? They will tell you that most the dogs go in order to good homes and survive happily ever after but where are most of these homes coming from? Anyone who has ever tried for getting any animal into the sanctuary will know according to Release Wire quite possibly always full with long waiting lists. They can't find homes with the dogs they already have devoid of the addition of thousands of ex-racing greyhounds needing houses.
The industry will also try to refute our claims that will greyhounds are suffering on the massive scale by hinting that they look right after their dogs well because it's in their interest to do so; they want their dog for being fit and healthy so that it will be able to win races. Well at least there're admitting here that their concern is of your commercial nature, but they avoid the point that him and i are making entirely by way of saying this. We are not claiming them to don't give their puppies adequate care whilst they are in the racing homes; what we are seeking to bring to public attention is what goes on to the dogs every time they leave the relative safety of the people kennels, when they are don't able to race to provide money for their owners because of age or injury according to Full Sail Graphics when they are no longer a viable asset on the business.
We will continue to stand in many weather outside the gates in the racing stadiums until greyhound bike racing ceases to exist in the united kingdom and Ireland. We will also assist our American friends that are having many successes in getting greyhound racing abolished at this time there too, there are now merely 12 states in USA who have live auto wraps and the worst by far of these is Texas.
